CASE BEYOND BOCAINA
Resumo
The initial event considered in this work is an explosion in the Unit 1 reactor building that injects thousands of PBq into the atmosphere between 151.5 m and 2216.1 m in height in a time interval of less than 2 minutes. The work shows that radioactive material injected into the atmosphere reaches the Paraíba do Sul river basin, arriving, in some studied cases, to be deposited in the Serra da Mantiqueira. With the SW wind, particles from the lowest layer of the mushroom cloud, moving at 5 m/s, reach the Bracuí area 70 minutes after the explosion.
