CHANGES IN THERMAL AND MICROSCOPIC PROPERTIES OF HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE DUE TO GAMMA IRRADIATION
Resumo
The project aims to study the thermal and microscopic changes in modified High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) when exposed to various radiation doses from a Cobalt-60 source, both in its pure form and with the addition of Monoethylene Glycol (MEG). Additionally, it seeks to explore future applications that leverage the new characteristics of the modified HDPE to promote circular recycling and contribute to environmental preservation by reducing improper disposal of HDPE.
