Study of density prediction for petroleum and derivatives using gamma-ray attenuation
Keywords:

This report presents a study for density prediction of petroleum and derivatives for products’ monitoring application. The detection system uses appropriate narrow beam geometry, comprised of a collimated 137Cs gamma-ray source and a NaI(Tl) detector diametrically positioned on the other side of the pipe in order measure transmitted beam (IT). Theoretical models for different materials have been developed using MCNP-X code.References
