Abstract

In the oil industry, a custody transfer or fiscal metering occurs when commodities are exchanged between parties. In many countries, these operations are regulated by the national oil authority, and they demand calibrated flow meters and certified measurement procedures. This method uses four scintillator detectors separated by 0.30 m and three radiotracer injections. The flowrate results correspond to a relative standard uncertainty near 0.8%.
