Abstract

A flow rate measurement system must be adequately designed for the specific measurement task and correctly estimate the measurements. In radiotracer flow measurements methodology is important to select the measure positions P1 and P2 where the scintillator detectors were installed. These positions must be far from any interference to guarantee an accurate result. A special device using a gamma source was constructed and used to locate solid deposits inside the duct because in this flow measurements is essential to check the pipeline condition because the volume V between the two measure positions must be full of the fluid.
